8-5-25   THOUGHTS

Two most powerful passage areas this morning for our thinking.  God supplying our needs for our work in the Kingdom is our theme.  This seems to be “pleasing in His sight”!  It is accomplished in Christ Jesus.  Our “inner man” is vital.  Christ must be central in our hearts.  The FULLNESS of God is the aim!  “Rooted, grounded and comprehension” are things that come from exercising ourselves to train ourselves.  Heb 5:14   But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. May glory be to Christ through us!  

Heb 13:20-21    Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord,  21  equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Eph 3:16-19    that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,  17  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  18  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  19  and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

A Prayer:
Father, strengthen us with Your power in our inner person.  May we be rooted and grounded in abounding love.  Help us to love each other and help us love our neighbors.  Keep us humble and compassionate.  May we be filled with Your fullness.  All praise and love and thanksgiving to the One and Only God!  In the name of Jesus our Savior, amen.
